of respondents agreed that undertaking their course led to an increased confidence in their ability. Wellbeing improvements may in part be due to improved health, as the empirical literature suggests that training can improve both physical health and mental wellbeing.
of learners highlighted that these programmes benefited them both professionally and personally, stating that they now have greater job prospects. Around 2000 people who undertook training while unemployed were able to find work within six months of completing their course. Moreover, 1 in 7 training recipients gained a promotion or pay rise, or kept a role they were at risk of losing.
